Creative Haverhill's Juried Youth Art Show is an opportunity for Haverhill youth ages Pre-K through High School to show their artwork in downtown Haverhill during KidsFest! Artwork must be submitted by April 6th to be considered for the show, and will then be selected by 3 local professional artist judges. Awards will be given to a best in show winner and first place and honorable mentions in each age group and artwork medium. The exhibition will be on display on May 2nd during KidsFest from 11AM - 3PM and awards will be presented at the KidsFest stage. What is it?
A juried exhibition of artwork created by Haverhill's finest young artists.
When is it?
The submission period runs through April 6th. Participants will be notified on or around April 17th. Selected work will be on display at 90 Washington St in Downtown Haverhill on May 2nd from 11AM - 3PM during the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce's annual KidsFest. Awards will be presented on the stage at KidsFest at a time TBD.
How do I submit my artwork?
Haverhill residents in grades pre-K to grade 12 may submit up to three pieces of their own original artwork for consideration. Artwork will only be considered if it was created anytime from April 12th, 2019 through April 6th, 2020. Each submission must include a good quality photo of the artwork and a submission form to go with each piece. Photos and forms must be emailed to chyouthartshow@gmail.com no later than 11:59PM on April 6th. You may also use the google form to submit your artwork if you click on the button at the top of the page.
What mediums will be included?
Drawing, painting, mixed media, photography/digital art, 3D, and artwork based on a book to align with this year's reading theme at KidsFest.
What are the prizes?
Artwork that is selected for the show will be judged by professional local artists. Awards to be given include: best in full show receiving an art supplies basket and trophy; 1st place in every age/medium category receiving a ribbon and prize; judges will also be selecting honorable mentions receiving a ribbon and prize.
